If you don’t change this one thing, you’ll never break financial barriers
Our mindsets will either create or eliminate opportunity.
The more knowledge you have, the more opportunity you have.
The common phrase, when you know better, you do better is real. I’ve seen this phrase play out in my life several times over.
Many People Desire To Earn Six Figures
I chat with people almost every day who are seeking jobs. Whenever I ask how much money they desire, their answer is usually the same:
I want to earn six figures.
A lot of them, though, say this statement with doubt.
They wonder if this number is realistic because they are not used to earning that amount, and it seems too large.
Every now and then, I come across a person (usually 1 in 100) that will say, I’m seeking $250k+, and that is rare; above $300k is even more rare.
Most people I chat with have the desire to earn somewhere between $100,000–$150,000, but more so on the lower-end of that range.
People often desire just to break the six-figure mark because it seems so unattainable when you’ve been earning five figures most of your life.
Six figures is excellent because it’s above average income, but most people will never reach this income because of their mindset, lack of skills, knowledge, and belief in themselves.
If You Desire To Increase You’re Income You Need…
…to break past traditional thinking patterns and get out of your comfort zone.
I recall the first time I earned six figures several years ago; it was an empowering and surreal feeling. I couldn’t believe I finally did it.
What did it take?
Tenacity
Self-belief
Confidence
A change in mindset
The eradication of doubt
Exposure to elevated knowledge (the most critical factor)
Ensure Your Income Intentions Are Worthy
Earning six figures to me wasn’t about accumulating and buying luxuries; anyone who knows me on a personal level will be able to observe this easily quite. Earning six figures was about creating financial freedom for myself and my family.
My desire to be able to take care of my family if necessary is what fuels me to continue on the path of breaking financial barriers as a black female.
What is the reason you want to earn above-average income?
If your intentions are unworthy, it might take you longer to reach your goal, and it won’t be as gratifying when you do.
To break financial barriers, it’s consequential to do so with powerful and purposeful intentions.
I tell people almost every day that the salary range they’re seeking is more than doable as long as they believe in themselves.
We earn the amount of money we believe we can earn; this is a fact. I just told dear friends yesterday:
You can only decrease your expenses to zero, but your earning potential is limitless.
