Start and end the travels on a high note
And I think this is because I maintain a regimen when I travel, which includes the following tips below.
The most important thing you can do for your health during your travels is to maintain a routine or become even healthier if you don’t conduct healthy habits before you depart.
I’ve been on the go officially for the past four months, and I have not gotten sick a single time.
At one point, I thought I had allergies, but I realized my allergy medication worsened my allergies. So I stopped taking that, and my health improved even more.
Let’s dive in, shall we?
10 Travel Tips: Avoid Getting Sick While Traveling
Drink plenty of fluids. I average anywhere from 100–150 oz on my most recent travels.
Take a natural immune supplement. My favorite immune boost is a supplement by plnt called Herbal Immune Formula with Traditional Herbs & Mushrooms. You can get it at The Vitamin Shoppe. I take this supplement every day. I also usually take oil of oregano in tincture form.
Eat less sugar. On all of my recent trips, I have avoided sugar completely.
Wash and sanitize frequently. It’s all about the basics. Keeping your body clean will make you feel ten times better.
Wipe down wherever you’re staying (including your rental car if you get one). Everything deserves a second or third wipe-down. Disinfect passionately to avoid the carry-over of germs.
Stay in places with windows or balconies so that you can air out rooms.
Keep up your exercise routine. Walk whenever you can, stretch, meditate, and stay active.
Detox on the go. An excellent detox supplement is activated charcoal. Not only does it eradicate toxins, but it can help you if you experience any digestive/stomach issues, headaches, bodily pains, etc.
Cook and prepare your food if possible. And if you can’t, bring food you can eat on the go. I gravitate towards simple things such as protein bars, packed tuna, nuts, protein powder, nut butter, and boiled eggs.
Keep the stress levels low. Traveling to more nature-heavy places helped me maintain lower stress levels; it’s hard to be stressed when surrounded by beauty. Meditate, stretch, breathe, and let go of everything weighing you down. At the end of the day, it usually works out one way or another.
Eat your veggies. You can always take a veggie supplement if you don’t have access to raw veggies. I take two: one in pill form and another in powder form:
