Three Strategies To Balance Out The Sugar
Take breaks: I like to take breaks in three-day increments. No sugar for three days; if I have a craving at the end of the three days, dig in, but not too heavy. Everything is in moderation, or you get that icky sick feeling when you overeat sugar.
Drink fluids: No, I don’t mean alcohol. I mean H2O. Hello. Drink plenty of water to flush all that sugar out of your body to get you back to a balanced state.
Eat your veggies and protein: Get in wholesome meals while you’re abroad so that you can mitigate sugar cravings. When you’re full, you tend to crave sugar less.
Greek Baklava
One of my favorite desserts abroad: Baklava In Santorini, Greece.
Rich, warm, comforting, repeated blasts of flavor in every bite. It could probably get even better, but I’m already too satisfied with every bite. So, the temptation to explore doesn’t exist.
