Stay on top of the dirtiest areas
The Carpet – For those who have carpet, when was the last time you cleaned it? I’m not talking about vacuuming, though this is helpful. It’s good to clean the carpet monthly or quarterly, depending on how much traffic you have on your carpet. Wearing fewer shoes in the house also helps a ton with keeping the carpets cleaner.
Under The Toilet Seat – It’s fantastic to clean the top of the toilet seat and the bottom of the toilet seat. However, it’s important to remember to clean under the toilet, where nobody usually wants to go. We’re going to get graphic for a second, but plenty of “stuff” can drip and splash to this toilet area.
Switches, Knobs, Buttons, & Handles – Light switches, door knobs, shower handles, sink handles, remote controls, microwave and oven buttons, and the list goes on and on. Everything can be cleaned and should be cleaned. Since these are all high-touch areas, it’s not a bad idea to clean them more frequently than less frequently.
Not only will a cleaner environment help you breathe better, but it will also help you feel better, increase your productivity, aid in higher quality sleep, and help you enjoy your personal space on a whole different level.
