Sugar is in everything, don’t fool yourself
Sugar is in everything. Companies aim to keep you addicted to sugar, which is why they put it in everything you eat and drink.
Remember the study where they gave lab rodents the option to consume sugar or cocaine? Most of the time, the animals choose sugar because it’s just that addicting.
Often, we don’t even realize how addicted we are to sugar because it’s hidden in everything we eat. Try going a day or two without your favorite sauces and drinks. Most people can’t because they got to have whatever is in it.
If you want to lose extra weight, increase your energy, have clearer skin, decrease inflammation, and improve your internal health, you got to give up sugar.
Some people will need to give up sugar entirely, but most people will simply need to consume less sugar, which is difficult since it’s highly addicting, but it’s more than possible.
On a typical week, I will only consume sugar once or twice a week and then return to my routine diet.
6 Ways To Eliminate Sugar
Condiments: Salad dressings and sauces contain tons of sugar. Always be sure to check the labels of everything you put in your food because
Bread & Pasta: Carbs are sugar. Anything that is a carb turns to sugar eventually once it digests in your body. Carbs are glucose, and glucose is sugar.
Fruit: Did you think fruit would make the list? Maybe not, but fructose is still sugar – no matter how you slice or dice it. The more fruit you eat, the more sugar you eat – even if you’re getting vitamins and minerals simultaneously.
Drinks: Sodas, juices, and alcoholic beverages are just water and sugar. I always try to avoid sugary drinks because I prefer to eat my sugar versus drink it; I usually only choose one or the other but to each their own.
Desserts: If you love dessert, eventually, it will show, or you will feel its effects on your body. I like sugar. If I had to choose a drug, it would be sugar because it tastes good, feels good, and looks good. However, some consequences can wreak havoc on your body if you don’t consume sugar in moderation.
Everything: Notice I said, “I usually only choose one or the other when it comes to sugar.” I rather eat my sugar versus drink, but most people do both. They drink the sugary drink, eat the carbs, and eat dessert – even though they know, they need to reel back the treats to obtain a healthier weight and body.
