We can’t keep blaming slavery
Yes, we came from significant hardship, but slavery is over; we have more freedoms than we’ve ever had before.
How we expand upon this freedom is through education.
One thing African-Americans need to do more of is reading. The social media, streaming/television, and internet surfing can take hold.
Even on top of a busy work schedule, find a way to get in some quality reading; if that means listening to an audiobook on your commute or reading a few minutes before you start your day or go to bed, make it happen.
Those who commit to bettering themselves create a higher return in value they receive.
