The plan always produces results; deviating does not
Now, there are plenty of times I allow myself to deviate and go rogue, but for the most part, I stick to the plan because the plan produces the best results, requires me to practice consistent self-discipline, and helps me maintain a healthier physique, mind, and internal body.
Today, I almost made a conscious decision to deviate.
But I quickly snapped out of it and reminded myself today wasn’t the day to deviate, and the desire to deviate was more of a stress response.
One thing I consistently try to avoid doing is eating less healthy foods as a stress response, which would equate to emotional eating. So I told my desires no, which was one of the best decisions I made all week.
What if more of us could do this with our diets… say no.
The more we say no, the ore progress we can make to reach our goals, and who doesn’t want to reach their goals?
It takes discipline, restraint, and willpower to say no to the things we want in the moment, but it always creates the most progress.
My favorite part of sticking to the plan was how powerful I felt to shut down my desires.
It feels incredible to take control when we have a goal: to practice living a healthier lifestyle while integrating self-discipline.
