Stop blaming everything and everyone else for your lack of progress
If you continuously struggle to make progress on your goals…
If you continuously keep setting the same goal year after year because you don’t take consistent action…
If you continuously make up excuses and believe other people are to blame for why you aren’t farther in life…
You need to know that you are the problem.
You Are The Problem
What would happen if you took 100% ownership of your life and stopped blaming outer circumstances and people for where you are and where you aren’t?
Most people go their entire lives blaming everyone and everything but themselves for why they didn’t accomplish X.
But they’re lying to themselves.
There is no one more responsible for your life, your results, and your outcomes other than you.
Face Yourself: The Truth
If we want to achieve anything worthwhile in life, we have to be willing to face ourselves in the mirror and accept the truth.
No matter how bad our pasts were, no matter who hurt us, no matter how f*cked up our lives are, no matter who left us, no matter who broke our hearts, no matter what tragedy founds its way into our lives, no matter how painful it was to lose someone we love to death, we can’t blame any of these factors for our lack of success in life.
We are the only determinant of our success.
If you desire something, you will go after it and get it.
Who Do You Want To Be?
Why Aren’t you this person now?
What Do You Desire To Accomplish?
Why haven’t you accomplished these things yet?
The answer to these questions has 3 letters: YOU
If you desire a different outcome, change yourself, shift your mindset, and take action.
The hardest part of accomplishing any worthwhile goal is getting started.
Getting started is the equivalent of how tough it is to get out of bed at 4 am when it’s freezing outside, raining, and you’re tired. Most people turn over in their beds and press the snooze button on their alarm clock.
And this is the reason why they will continue not to reach their goals.
It’s easier to sleep in, watch tv, play on our phones, get lost in random internet searches, and hang out with friends and family non-stop. But none of these things bring us the long-term results we seek with our goals.
It will take sacrifice, which means pain, consistency, and self-discipline are requirements.
Sacrifice doesn’t feel comfortable; it won’t feel nice and cozy.
But it’s all temporary pain to get you the long-term results you seek.
You got to be okay with a little pain to get the reward.
