Are you getting away from the screens enough?
According to a study, though, depression is linked to high amounts of tv:
A study in Preventative Science Reports found elevated depression levels when people spent more time on computers and watching TV. In fact, those who spent more than four hours each day staring at a screen were about twice as likely to have depression.
Not only does this study include the television, but screens in general. Here’s an excellent question: Do you tend to be happier or less happy watching the tv, being on your phone, or scrolling through the computer? Some people are happier, and some people are less happier. The real question is, what are the things that bring you the most joy in life? If it’s watching television, playing games, working on the computer, or being on your phone then by golly, do these things, but more than likely, there are other activities that you enjoy that maybe you stopped doing due to increased screen usage.
Now and then, get away from all the screens and enjoy the silence. Maybe even read a book (off the screen, of course).
