So, what’s stopping you?
Maintain a positive net worth.
Never be up to my knees in debt.
Never max-out credit cards.
Never be worried about losing a job.
Always have savings for emergencies stocked away.
Always have enough money to invest.
Never have to financially rely on someone else.
Avoid giving into excessive materialism and accumulation habits.
Always be able to afford my necessities.
End up wealthy.
There is nothing magical about living below your means; if you do it, you will always have these ten items in place. If you live below your means, money will never be a concern. Yet, most of us still don’t do this for some reason.
What We’re Doing Wrong
We continue to let our expenses creep up. We continue to max out our credit cards. We continue to live paycheck to paycheck. We continue to buy things we don’t need to show off to people we don’t like. We continue to impulse shop. We continue to worry ourselves sick about money. We continue to live with financial anxiety. We continue to fear losing our jobs. We continue to live as if we’re financially invincible even though we aren’t taking the actions that will move us into the invisibility bracket.
Do You Want To Be An Outlier?
If you want to experience the ten things listed above, are you ready to live below your means? It’s not that hard. All you have to do is cut out the superfluous, implement self-discipline, and make a conscious and consistent choice every single day to live differently than most. The outliers always experience the most extraordinary results. Do you want to experience extraordinary or average results? The choice is up to you; it’s always up to you.
Here’s Where To Start
Start with a budget. A budget will save your finances. It might not seem fun, attractive, and sexy, but it will make your finances look sexy in the long term. Sacrifice (a little) now so you can create a better financial future.
Budgeting provides you with 100% transparency into your finances. The more transparency you have in your finances, the more influence you have over your money to make prudent decisions.
Take action today to change your finances tomorrow. Implement a budget, live below your means, and eradicate all unnecessary expenses.
