1. Retirement Checklist
☐ I have determined the age I want to leave traditional working models.
☐ I know the estimated amount I’ll require in retirement based on the rate of inflation and predicted future cost of living.
☐ I am saving x dollars each month to meet my retirement goal.
2. Dependencies Checklist
This checklist only applies if you have people financially or physically dependent on you:
☐ I have a will that includes all individuals financially and physically dependent on me.
☐ I have a life insurance policy that covers all individuals financially dependent on me.
☐ I ensure I enable my dependencies to be financially independent.
3. Credit Checklist
☐ I have set up a monthly reminder to check in on my credit profile to ensure everything looks good, and no suspicious activity has resulted.
☐ I actively manage my credit cards by paying the balance in full each month (depending on financial strategy).
☐ If I have a credit card balance, I ensure I have automatic payments set up.
4. Education Checklist
☐ I dedicate a modest portion of my time to financially educating myself (e.g., seminars, books, videos, courses, certifications, articles, and blogs).
☐ I have at least one financial mentor whom I can trust and bounce off ideas.
☐ I am implementing 1–5 strategic new financial strategies this coming year.
5. Savings Checklist
☐ I have determined the top 1–5 large purchase items for the year.
☐ I have completed my savings plan for all items and set up an automatic monthly payment to meet my objectives.
☐ I commit not to dip into any of my savings for unrelated matters. I will implement the art of self-discipline and, if necessary, obtain an accountability partner to help me remain on track.
6. Income Sources
☐ I have determined a new income source to add to my financial portfolio.
☐ I will dedicate x hours each week to this new income source.
☐ I have realistically determined to earn ~ x dollars from my new income source.
7. Debt Checklist
☐ I have listed all of my debts along with their monthly minimum payments.
☐ I have determined the payoff date for all of my debts.
☐ I have set up automatic payments for all of my debts to ensure I never miss a payment.

8. Investment Checklist
☐ I am investing x percentage of my income each month to meet my retirement and non-retirement objectives.
☐ If I have an employer with 401k privileges, I am maxing out my ROTH IRA.
☐ I am maxing out my individual ROTH IRA.
☐ I have diversified my investment portfolio with stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, crypto, and other investment strategies that fit my financial plan.
☐ I actively ensure my investment portfolio is allocated based on my risk tolerance and retirement projections.
