It’s VERY simple
But some people want to experience abs or have a stronger core and experience the physical benefits of having one.
“Everything I’m doing isn’t working.”
What are you eating?
If you desire abs, the first thing you need to do is clean up your diet. It’s the most critical component in attaining abs.
I can go for weeks (maybe months) without directly working out my abdominal muscles.
My diet is mostly clean, ensuring I keep that extra layer of fat off my stomach. Everyone distributes weight differently, but if your metabolism isn’t fast and you don’t eat clean, you will most likely not have abs.
Things you should cut from your diet to accelerate the appearance of abs include:
Cut out processed foods
Cut out extra snacking
Cut out sauces
Cut out alcohol
Cut out breads
Cut out juices
Cut out sugar
Do I consume this stuff? Yes, but not every day. My routine diet does not include any of these unless I’m bulking.
On my splurge days, sure, it’s all fair game. But the game only lasts a few innings, and then we’re back at it.
Most people never experience abs because they eat shitty food daily. If you’re going to eat shitty food, don’t expect abs; for the average person, this is the expected result.
Do FASTED Cardio
Fasted cardio is one of the best-kept secrets. You might do your cardio session at the end of the day, after work, or after you eat breakfast or lunch. But the best time to get in your cardio is before you ingest any food for the day.
Here’s why…
If you do your cardio right after a meal, you’re burning the calories of that meal.
You’re directly burning fat if you do your cardio before a meal.
Which would you rather burn:
Option 1: Fat
Option 2: The meal you just ate
Doing Ab Exercise Accelerate and Define
For the most part, I do ab workouts about 4–7 times a week – depending on how many times I work out for the week. Unless I switch up my workout, I do abs at the end of every workout.
Do I need to do this? No, but I also don’t mind training my core consistently, which provides its own set of benefits.
My favorite ab workout to date is called 8-minute abs. You can find the workout on youtube. I’ve been implementing this workout into my routine for over a decade.
Pilates is my second favorite abdominal workout that I rarely do as of late, but I should. Those suckers will get your core in tip-top shape like never before.
It will also lessen things like back pain that stem from a weak core.
