An easy solution to implement if you can handle temporary pain
If you struggle to make ends meet…
If you bought more car than they can afford…
If you have to stretch the budget to afford your car…
If you can’t afford to repair your car when it needs attention…
If you have to choose between necessities and your car…
You can’t afford your car.
If you didn’t realize it, I’m here to inform you that your car is causing you unnecessary pain, discomfort, and stress.
You don’t have to inflict this kind of strain on yourself or your finances anymore if you’re willing to choose a different path, which entails getting rid of or downgrading your car.
My First Car Note Experience
My first car payment was $245, lasting for three years. After that, I maintained no car payments for about a decade.
I was hungry and determined to pay off my car to pay less interest over time and put that money into my investments.
People Who Make Poor Decisions
However, I continually encounter people who jeopardize their financial health in the name of a precious vehicle.
It’s not worth it, and it never will be.
Example 1
While taking my car in to get serviced, a woman excitedly boasted about the new car she was about to buy.
Meanwhile, she has two other car notes on her credit that she can’t get rid of due to financial entanglements and poor decisions. So she’s signing herself up for three car notes. Boy, oh boy.
Example 2
Another person had to choose between rent or their car. An easy solution to the problem would be to downgrade or get rid of their car, downsize their home, or rent out part of it.
There’s always a way to manage your finances effectively. If you live in a non-walkable city and need a car, then by all means, get a car.
But what kind of car do you need?
You only need a car that can safely get you from point A to B. Nothing more and nothing less.
Cars Have Become A Big Financial Mistake
The new car smell. The bells and whistles. The respect you might feel your car can garner is all enticing.
I mean, you deserve to drive a nice car during your lifetime, right? And you only live once. So why not drive nice if you can make it work in your budget?
But the real question is, why drive in a way that compromises your financial situation?
Your bank account should always take precedence over your appearance.
Unfortunately, most people will never value their bank account and financial status more than their appearance.
But we must never forget that shifting our financial situations is often as simple as eliminating an unproductive habit, liability, or expense.
Your financial freedom is entirely up to you.
