Advertisements are often negative mental programming
My Response
Why would parents allow their kids to sleep to advertisements throughout the night? There are many other free applications that offer music and playlists that come without ads, so their children can sleep peacefully and not be victims of groupthink, brainwashing, and often negative messaging.
Our subconscious minds are sticky; they tend to adopt whatever messages we feed them.
Do you know why they use the word programming in “TV programming”? Because television, movies, and media program your mind to think, form opinions, and view the world as the creators of the programming desire you to view it. Furthermore, advertisements aim to entice us to consume their content and products.
Avoid playing advertisements for your kids throughout the night. That’s negative programming. This goes for you, too. Be more conscientious of the media you’re listening to passively and actively. It all affects us – whether we believe it or not.
Why Are My Kids Asking For This?
Ever wonder why your kids ask you to buy them certain things? It’s not only because they saw someone or a friend with it; it’s because of the constant influx of advertisements and media they have been shown.
Advertisements are powerful, and marketers know this, which is why they continuously show and play the same ads to brainwash us.
Feed Your Kids Positive Messaging
My mother thought I had a horrible negative attitude growing up. She was most likely right. But instead of playing music throughout the night, she played tapes of speakers that focused on topics about joy, positive thinking, encouragement, optimism, and maintaining a positive attitude.
At some point, my entire mindset experienced a shift, and I had a natural skew for optimism and positive thinking. I’m such an optimist that I often request people not to share the news and negative stories with me. In most cases, I don’t need to know about it. The most important news will always make it through to everyone anyways.
You’ll be surprised by what you can do to your mind, life, and perspective by changing what you watch and listen to regularly. The more positivity you take into your mind, the more you will experience positivity in your life.
If you play peaceful music for your kids but allow the playlist to have advertisement interjection, it won’t mess them up (obviously). Still, it might condition them to desire and consume things without purposeful intention. Furthermore, they might adopt specific messages without question, which can be dangerous in developing their own unique identity.
