4 ways to eat healthier; 4 benefits of healthy eating
We’re all built differently and have unique tastes, triggers, and food preferences.
I’ve maintained a healthy style of eating and fitness routine for most of my life; it was almost innate. My mother cleaned the house out of white bread, processed foods, and sugars when I was younger. I’m unsure if my siblings remember that period, but I did, and it resonated with me deeply.
From then on, my life changed immensely. I implemented healthy behaviors with ease and without resistance; I committed to eating healthy most of the time for the remainder of my life.
Do I still eat unhealthy foods? Most certainly. But do unhealthy foods dominate my life? No. I tend to follow the 60/40 or 70/30 rules, which means I usually eat clean 60–70% of the time, and less clean 30–40% of the time.
As a result of implementing the 60–40 and 70–30 rules, it has been easy for me to maintain good health and a muscular physique.
4 Ways To Cope With Healthy Eating
Make healthy food work for you. Take your favorite recipes and replace ingredients with healthier alternatives. For example, make a chocolate protein smoothie if you desire a chocolate shake.
Stay as active as possible. If you’re not going to commit to eating clean, which is not the best decision, stay as active as you can throughout your days to counteract all of the junk you are consuming, release endorphins, and keep extra weight off your body.
Cook your food. You don’t have to cook all of your food, but it will save you time and money if you do so. Not only will you retain creative control over your food, but you will also know every ingredient in your food, unlike eating at a restaurant.
Think long-term over short-term pleasure. I often discuss this in many of my articles, and so does James Clear. If you want to cut the cord on any harmful habit, you must picture your long-term goal and consider the benefits of its effects. Short-term pleasure feels fantastic, but only for a short period. At some point, the short-term pleasurable feelings fade away. Long-term pleasure and results are lasting, and much more fulfillment is found here.
4 Results Of Healthy Eating
Experience fewer future medical issues. Most illnesses are diet related, which means we control our health to a large extent. Don’t underestimate the power diet has on your health.
Experience increased energy. The better the foods and liquids you intake, the better you will feel. Most people feel like sh*t because they eat like sh*t. Once you stop doing this, you will notice an instant change in your physique, energy levels, and mental health.
Elevate your mental health. Unhealthy foods can cause brain fog, depression, anxiety, obesity, and low self-esteem. The cleaner you eat, the better you perform. Try it out for 1–3 months and notice all the positive changes you experience and feel in your mind, body, and spirit.
Keep the extra weight off. You avoid gaining weight when you’re eating healthy in the appropriate portions. When I eat super duper clean, I lose weight, and I already don’t have a lot of extra weight on my body. If you want to lose weight, clean up your diet, and you will instantly start dropping.
