Which is why so many people feel better after consuming it
Here are some of the things people do to help themselves feel better:
Eat ice cream when they’re feeling under the weather.
Eat a sugary meal when their energy is low.
Drink soda when their stomach hurts.
Depression
If you’re struggling with depression or any mental situation, sugar is the last thing you should be intaking.
Avoiding sugar when you’re at or feeling your lowest is a better option.
Consuming sugar in modest amounts is acceptable. But once you exceed the modest amount, you start entering the danger zone, which is where many people land.
Overeating sugar increases mental fog, decreases mental clarity, injects potential “blues” into your life, and doesn’t make you feel better. If anything, you make yourself feel worse.
I AVOID SUGAR whenever I’m going through a significantly traumatic or challenging situation. I know sugar will only exacerbate any negative feelings and thoughts.
Low Energy
Sugar is likely to decrease your energy.
When traveling for two months straight, I limited my sugar intake because simple sugars do not add tons of energy to my body. It might at first, but the crash comes second.
If you deal with low energy, complex sugars will be your friend. Not the simple ones, unless you’re using them prior, intra, or post-workout, in which case simple sugars can add fuel and energy.
If the first thing you feel in the morning is lethargy, eating sugar will perpetuate it further. The sugary and beautiful-looking breakfasts are not your friend; they taste suitable for the moment but bring your energy down like a falling plane.
A doctor told me he wasn’t feeling well. So I asked him what he was going to eat once his appetite came back. He told me he’s going to get something sugary to help him get his energy back up and hopefully help him feel better. Uh oh. If you’re not feeling well, sugar is likely not the answer to your problem.
Release endorphins to increase your energy. Take a walk. Get in the gym. Or complete a workout. Just get moving. This is one of the best cures for low energy.
Digestive Issues
One of the best solutions for any digestive issues does not include soda, but ginger, peppermint, and activated charcoal.
On top of these suggestions, plenty of water is essential and a clean diet.
Eliminate the following to improve digestion:
Dairy
