Right?
Due to a large project, I had to be away from home for about a month. Since I was gone for so long, I knew I had to put a plan in place for my diet since I usually eat healthy most of the week.
If I hadn’t invested the time to grocery shop and meal prep, there’s only one option: purchase fast food every day, which would take me off course from my health goals and make me feel sluggish – ultimately leading to less productivity.
The best part about it: meal prep only took about 1 hour for an entire week’s worth of meals. Sounds pretty worth it to me. All I had to do was get started (with the cooking, which tends to be the most challenging).
But I Don’t Like To Cook
If you don’t like to cook and grocery shop, invest in a meal prep company or personal chef (It’s not as expensive as you might think. I know someone who got their meals prepped weekly by a personal chef for $60). For $60-$100, you can have fully prepped meals and maintain a healthy diet.
When you prepare, you succeed. When you don’t prepare, you usually fail. I successfully maintained my diet for an entire month, mainly living away from home, and it was easy. All I did was keep up the same habits I did back at home. Discipline is a factor, but more importantly, continuing your habits from home is enough.
