Do you allow excuses to dominate your failures?
We’re Often Uninspired
Most of us don’t always feel like working on our goals every day or even every other day. Usually, we are inspired to work on our goals every now and then, but the motivation often doesn’t remain in our spirits. We have to push through a big something called: feelings.
Feelings Can Delay Progress
These feelings will beat your progress down to the ground every time because feelings are powerful. They can control the direction of your life and how close you come to reaching your goals.
If you’re not careful, your feelings will guide you off track to a point so far away from your original trajectory you may never find your way back.
Feeling Spirals Are Deadly
Once we get going on a feeling spiral, we often continually make up excuses for why we can and can’t do something – to the point where we start believing the lies we tell and live these lies as our truth.
Excuses can become doctrine if we don’t eliminate them early and as they arise.
Do You Feel Stuck?
Feeling stuck on an emotional spiral or negative thinking pattern is normal. It’s also normal to feel so low that you have no motivation to be productive.
If you’ve been stuck in your feelings lately, there is no easy way out – except to force your way out. Some of the best advice I ever received was to fill my mind with positivity when it’s being dominated by the negative.
If you’re feeling negative, immediately listen to some positive material or do an activity that helps you feel more optimistic.
Tackle negative feelings and emotions quickly, and nip them in the bud. Don’t invest more energy and time into them, or they will continue to expand.
Here’s How You Can Increase Your Productivity
Don’t fight away your feelings. Let them be and get to work. There are many times you will need to learn how to move forward while feeling “low,” but usually, when we push through and stay productive, the endorphins start flowing.
Do you know why? When we accomplish our goals and make progress, our self-esteem improves. We feel good about ourselves because we are sticking to our commitments and making progress in life.
One step at a time. That’s all you have to take-one step at a time. And if you keep taking steps, guess what happens? You reach your destination.
