How to elevate your money so you can give more
Her dream was to go to Paris, France, and I decided to make it happen because I simply could.
One of the greatest gifts you can offer anyone is a positive, memorable experience.
Physical gifts are lovely, but many aren’t lasting or as impactful as experiences.
How I Shifted My Financial Situation So I Can Give More
For much of my life, I didn’t have a lot of financial resources. Yet, I always knew how to maximize and manage my money, so I had something in my pockets and bank account.
Still, it wasn’t until I elevated my income and investing habits that I changed my financial situation permanently.
Education
Investing
Spending less than I earn
1 Education Reading books and articles and listening to podcasts about personal finance were the leading factors in transforming my financial situation. I’m still listening and reading about personal finance, so I can strive to do better. Education is so powerful. Commit to life long learning. #2 Investing Investing is necessary to prevent your money from sitting, stagnating, and burning. Don’t leave your money in savings and checking accounts. Instead, invest your money and put it to work for you 24/7 by investing. Investing is the only way to build wealth. #3 Spend less than I earn Less is more. I don’t have a lot of things in my home. And I’m constantly looking at what else I can get rid of because, most of the time, we don’t need the things we hold onto so tightly. Implementing minimalism helps keep my expenses low. Instead, I focus more on traveling and investing my resources in experiences. Spending less than I earn is one essential financial habit that reaps the most benefits. I invest and save over 50% of my income. I leave a little left for expenses. I haven’t experienced any cons from implementing this method. Generosity Is The Way To Build Wealth Many may not agree with this philosophy, but generosity is the ultimate way to live. We weren’t put on this earth to serve ourselves. Instead, we were put on this earth to serve others. Generosity doesn’t always come in a monetary form. But financial means can help increase the effectiveness and diversity of your generous efforts because you can be more accommodating and provide catered resources to others with less access. I often could not offer people much in return for what they gave me, but a mentor told me it would be my turn one day. And my turn has arrived. It feels liberating to be able to sit on the giving side predominantly. Though there is joy in receiving, giving is where the ultimate joy is. One of the primary reasons I want to continue building wealth is so I can give more; this is ultimately where all fulfillment derives.
