Can you stay away from them long enough?
If I want to eliminate the cravings altogether, it might take about 1–3 months.
I notice the longer I stay away from less healthy foods, the fewer cravings I have, and the more genuine the cravings are.
For example, when I stay away from sugars and processed foods for 1–3 months after detoxing, I will notice extremely specific cravings versus a general craving for sugar.
To me, this is always a positive sign. That means I’m on the right track with my diet. Now, does that mean you should give in whenever you have a craving? No. Sometimes it’s essential to tell yourself “no” to remind your body and mind who the boss is.
But when you’re on track with your diet, your cravings have diminished, and you get a random and particular craving, go for it – in moderation, of course.
