Don’t throw nutrition out the window
It’s essential to stick to your health plan when traveling. Not only will you experience more energy during your travels, but you will decrease your likelihood of getting sick and keep your immune system robust.
Additionally, if you continue your healthy habits during your travels, you don’t have to come back with weight gain or the need to detox because you feel like sh*t.
Vegetables and nutrient-dense foods will help you feel 100% during your travels.
Improve Your Health During Travel
You can actually improve your health while traveling. On one of my recent trips, I improved my skin complexion, eliminated toxins, and focused on restoring my immunity. It was a relaxing, meditative, and healing trip for my mind and body.
How I Get In Veggies While Traveling
The easiest way to get in my greens while traveling is through supplements. And the easier it is to get something, the more likely you will consistently do it. If I don’t get to cook, have meal prep ready, or make it to a restaurant, I’m good to go on greens with my supplements.
There are a few ways I consistently get in my veggies while traveling and road-tripping, which include the following:
Supplements
Every day, I take a multivitamin with greens and a green supplement. I usually do two scoops of the green supplement to get a blast of nutrition and energy early in the morning.

Restaurants
If I’m eating out, then veggies are a must-have – unless I’m throwing everything out the window, which I don’t do all the time.
Salads
Juice Greens
Raw or Cooked Vegetables

Cooking
Meal Prep: I used to think it was too challenging to meal prep when challenging, but all you have to do is do it, and you’ll fair quite well. If and when I have access to a stove, I will meal prep, which will include plenty of green options.
Protein Shakes: One of my protein shakes’ key ingredients is raw spinach; adding this ensures I get an easy 1–4 handfuls of raw veggies daily.
Why I Focus On Veggies And Not Fruit
If I had to choose fruits or veggies, I’m choosing veggies 99% of the time, and here’s why:
Veggies tend to have a higher nutrient content, less sugar, fewer carbs, and are overall better for your health.
Fruit is awesome, tasty, and colorful, but fruit is also high in sugar and carbs.
Alcohol Tip
When you travel, drink alcohol less frequently and water more frequently. You will feel much more invigorated and less groggy. Alcohol ultimately slows you down.
