Having the financial freedom to make others’ dreams a reality
My father has been pivotal to my financial success. Though he didn’t come from a wealthy or financially educated background, everything and everyone that he exposed me to I soaked in like a sponge and applied to my life.
I’m unsure who I would be or where I would be today if my father didn’t have the access he did to people who were highly educated and wealthy. It helped create a wealthier mentality in our family, which inspired us all to do better, create financial freedom for ourselves, and share it with others.
Though our relationship hasn’t been perfect, we’ve been able to develop open communication and consistently improve our relationship over time, which has become a beautiful friendship of sorts.
He’s one of the primary reasons I always had bigger dreams and wanted to better my life.
I didn’t buy this gift to return the favor. I bought it because I know that this gift will help continue to inspire and light the fire in him that he instilled in me.
The Financial Freedom To Gift People
One of the greatest gifts you can offer anyone is exposure through experiences. And there’s something magical about experiences; they help us gain perspective and get us out of our surroundings so we can see more clearly.
I wasn’t always in a financial position to give people international trips. But I remember writing down on my goal list or vision board of sorts how I wanted to help people travel and make their dreams a reality, which is why I was able to send my mother to Paris.
Many people are focused more on creating wealth for themselves. Something I always wanted was the opportunity to help and inspire others. Wealth is not meant to be for just you; it’s meant to be shared.
The more generous you are, the more wealth you create for yourself and others.
How To Position Yourself As Generous
To help others financially, you must create a healthy financial position for yourself that allows you to support yourself and others.
Some of the things I’ve done to position myself to give to others financially include the following habits:
Consistently invest over 50% of my income.
Live like no one else so that I can create my ideal life.
Consistently increase my income to avoid stagnancy.
Live below my means. Never spend more than I earn.
Observe how other individuals have created financial freedom and the ability to create financial freedom for others.
Educate me about money so I can play better at the game. I always continue reading financial articles and books that challenge and teach me more about money.
Live a minimalist lifestyle that is not focused on things but on creating impact and intaking invaluable experiences.
Make my dreams more significant than yours. Think about how you can help others make their dreams a reality.
Consistently invest in creating and building more wealth for myself and others. I never take a break from investing; this is the most powerful thing I do to build and create wealth.
Avoid mimicking what the masses do with their money. They tend to stay in debt, live above their means, rarely have enough savings, focus on what others think of them, and only take a little time to educate themselves about money.
