Diets are too restrictive and frequently cause relapse
Only certain types of people are built for diet life, which is a tiny subset of the population.
Most diets lead to some form of binging because of how badly they restrict the calories or types of food a person can eat.
If you’ve been on a diet, you’re likely familiar with how intense the cravings got. Most diets make people feel as if they are starving. Other diets make you feel like you’re not missing out, but the ingredients are so refined and processed that it doesn’t lead to a healthier body.
So What’s The Solution?
You should focus on consuming foods that are wholesome to the body and to your liking.
Moreover, you should choose exciting foods. If you’re bored, you will want to eat out or eat things that are not on track with your health goals.
I follow a 55/45, 60/40, or 70/30 type diet, ensuring I eat more healthy foods versus less healthy foods.
Key Message: Avoid diets. Instead focus on consuming healthy and wholesome meals that are both tasty and fun to look at. The more interesting your healthy food choices are, the less likely you will have a desire to eat out, splurge, and deviate yourself from the health goals you desire to accomplish.
