Learn how to console others while you’re grieving
How do console another, when you’re struggling to console yourself?
Do you set aside your own grief and try to feel for another?
Here’s what’s I’ve learned to do…
Grieve Together & Grieve Separately
You can send flowers, love, check-in texts, prayers, and positive vibes when you have the strength.
And when you don’t have the strength, it’s okay to take care of yourself and focus on your grief.
Just being there for one another – even from a distance – can show you care despite the pain you’re going through.
At some point, the grief will subside, and you’ll think back to how you treated people during those times. Were you able to push through your pain and still be kind? If so, that’s mighty noble of you.
When you’re grieving, it’s difficult to imagine another side of life, but eventually, you will cross the bridge. Eventually, you’ll be able to take care of others more deeply. It will get better.
