“I Hate Where I Live.” Okay, Why Don’t You Move?
“I don’t have the money.”
When I ask why they are there, the most frequent response I receive is money.
Fair response.
As someone who moves frequently, I know moving comes at a cost.
However, there are many ways to decrease your move if you’re passionate about saving money and moving in the most cost-effective manner possible.
But Do You Really Not Have The Money?
We lie to ourselves often.
And one of the biggest lies we tell ourselves is that we don’t have the money or can’t afford to do or buy something.
Is that really so?
Many of the people who say they can’t afford something are the same people who consistently eat out, find ways to do some traveling, obtain a car note, charge their credit card for unnecessary purchases, and pay more for housing than necessary.
So where is the money coming from for all of these things? It’s not coming out of thin air.
People are finding it, creating it, and making it work so they can obtain what they want.
If you can obtain money for the things you want, you can obtain money for the things you love and deeply desire.
So why not find the money to move or obtain something you genuinely desire?
Stop Throwing Away Money On Low-Value Purchases
If a person truly desires to move, they will stop spending their money on things that deviate from their most important goal: moving (or insert whatever they truly desire).
Many people come into contact with ample money over their lifetimes, but they frequently throw it away on low-value purchases.
Ferociously question your purchases.
If you look around at the stuff you’ve bought outside of the necessities, do you really love the items?
Can you do without them?
Always Ask Yourself These Questions Before A Buy
Before making a large or even a small buy, I ask myself and think about the following questions.
I almost made an impulse buy the other day, and I quickly put it back because I had no clue where I would put it, I had no intention of buying it before I saw it, and I already had a growing collection.
Did I want it or think about it before I saw it?
Does this contribute to my health?
How often will I use this?
Do I need it?
Do I want it?
Do I love it?
Do I like it?
