Losing weight isn’t only about discipline; there’s a smart strategy
As I mentioned in the article, “5 Tips To Help You Gain Weight,” figure out what healthy meals do it for your tongue and roll with it. But also consider that you don’t need to be fancy to spruce up your meals.
For example, are you bored with broccoli? Instead of eating it plain, throw some olive oil, pepper, and pink Himalayan sea salt on there, toss it in the microwave, and experience the simple magic.
Good food doesn’t have to take up your whole day or hours to make.
The Diet Is The Foundation To Weight Loss
If you need to lose weight, 90% of your efforts to lose weight will be based on your diet. You could eat whatever you want while losing weight if you count calories to a T, but who wants to do that? Not most people. And if you don’t develop good eating habits while you’re losing weight, once you reach your weight loss goal, you will most likely gain it all back – torching all of your hard work.
I was chatting with my chiropractor not too long ago about healthy foods, and we both agreed that when you eat healthily, you naturally tend to drop weight and keep extra weight off your body (if your metabolism is in a good spot).
Whenever people ask how to get abs or build more muscle, I ask them, “What’s your diet like?” That’s where most people aren’t willing to budge.
The diet is everything. If you change your diet, you can change your body. The exercise comes in second and helps sculpt the body, but the diet forms the sculpture’s base.
Remember: If you don’t like the healthy food options in your house, you won’t eat them, which means you will most likely eat something else which deviates from your optimal diet. You’ll be amazed at how willing we are to get something delivered or go out and pick up a quick bite when healthy, palatable food options do not surround us.
I’ve called it quits so many times on eating healthy because I was too lazy to cook delicious and interesting healthy meals that make me want to eat at home; this is the trick. You must make the incentive to eat healthy greater than the incentive to not eat healthily. If the meal is both delicious and healthy, you’ll probably want to eat that because you’ll feel better and more energetic after eating it versus eating a delicious unhealthy meal that makes you feel sluggish and sh*tty.
