Yes, you read that correctly
The question is, are your consistent actions bringing you the results you desire? If you’re not fit and healthy, do you desire to be, or do you desire to remain at your current level of health?
I’ve Been Consistent My Whole Life
People often ask me how did I reach such a level of fitness, and I don’t consider myself to be an elite or a professional, but one thing I have been practicing for years is consistency.
My father brought a mini gym to the house when I was 11; I always played outside, my parents kept in several sports, my mother introduced my family and me to healthy eating early on, and P.E. and recess were some of my favorite highlights when I attended public school.
Once I hit the age of 14, that’s when I bought my first gym membership. So ever since I was a kid, I have maintained the habit of being active, which means I’ve been consistent most of my life, which has given me the following result:
My body didn’t come from enhancements, steroids, or extreme diet plans; it came from consistency. It took years to get to the point where muscle dominated my body instead of fat, which is the average body type.
What Have Your Habits Produced For You?
Our primary health status is a reflection of our habits over time; it’s the long-term habits that create the most substantial compounding effects on our bodies.
What have you been doing and feeding your body consistently?
The answer to this will determine your body’s appearance and condition for the next decade and on if you continue down your current path. Are you excited about the thought? If not, this is the perfect time to change your routine, so you can start building a more robust and healthier body.
Living Healthy: This Is What It Takes
Eating clean, getting in all your veggies, staying hydrated, keeping up the physical activity, getting body work done (stretching, massages, fascia release, chiropractic work), completing your regular doctor’s visits, meditating, and treating your body well aren’t the most convenient tasks to keep up (though you can transform your environment to make them more convenient)- especially when you have so many other obligations, people, and worthless distractions vying for your attention 24/7. However, the better we care for our bodies, the better our bodies will care for us.
Good health is all about give and take. We don’t have to make perfect health choices, but we should consistently make healthier choices.
It all comes down to thinking of our future selves. After you get past the pain of self-discipline, what follows is bliss and complete satisfaction.
