Stop Trying To Predict Your Demise
The doctors might tell us we have 3 months to live, our genetics might tell us we will live until we’re 90 years of age, science might tell us we will die at 72.6 years of age, but nothing and no one can predict our time of death as fact.
Despite us not knowing when we’re going to exit the earth, we act like we do. Consequently, we believe we have all the time in the world and procrastinate on the things we want to do during our lifetimes.
The Things We Want To Do, But Never Will
Who doesn’t have a bucket list of activities and dreams waiting to be fulfilled? I know I have a bucket list; over the years, it’s become more refined because I’ve started to narrow in on the things that genuinely matter, but there are still quite a few things unchecked.
How many things, people, and opportunities are you repeatedly putting on hold?
Her Life – Reflections
As I reflect on her dear life, I see someone that enjoyed the nightlife and abstract experiences that can never be explained sober. I see someone that desired the finer things but also enjoyed the simplicities of life. I see a spirit and soul full of sunshine, yet so much darkness that was never conveyed to the world. I see someone that I was hoping to grow old with, but that will never happen now.
The Things She Never Did
She never made her way to Paris; that was always a dream of hers…to go to Paris. I often wondered why she didn’t go. For unbeknownst reasons, she waited for the perfect time that never came. She waited on someone else to pull the trigger, looking back, it was all kind of insane because she had the means to go at different points in her young life.
Life has an interesting way of working out. The people you never expect to leave you on this planet end up leaving – way before you thought their due date was anywhere near the one that came too soon.
