The present is alive. The past is dead.
Getting stuck on our mistakes, pasts, and misfortune is debilitating and prevents us from growing, loving ourselves and others, experiencing life, and moving forward.
Nothing in the past can be undone. But what can be changed is this moment and our futures.
What about your past do you want to do differently going forward?
I know it may hurt or feel uncomfortable to be unable to change things from your past, and it’s okay to feel this discomfort and pain. But you are not your past. You are your present – creating a future one present moment at a time.
It is now that you have the opportunity to live differently. You can experience happiness, harmony, peace, and love. Your life doesn’t have to be forever defined by your past. Easier said than done, but the difficult things always take us further than we’ve ever been.
Keep rooting yourself forward. Keep loving yourself. Keep forgiving yourself and others. Keep constantly living in the present moment. Keep the smile on your face. Keep laughing. Keep having fun. Keep living passionately. Continue to let the past die at every moment because the past is dead. The present is alive. Focus on life. Never focus on loss.
