With more desires comes less freedom
At a specific po, you’ll realize that if you already haven’t, more stuff won’t ever be able to make you happy. If anything, more stuff starts to detract from your happiness because after you get all wrapped up in collecting, you realize how draining, empty, and wasteful it is.
Things can’t make us happy.
The next sale isn’t going to make you happy.
And that 10–25% discount won’t make you happy ten years from now.
Stop getting caught up with our consumer-driven society and instead do the opposite of what they do.
The less you desire, the more power and freedom you have.
