Build a more transparent relationship with yourself by listening

The point is, we all got loads of stuff we’re handling all at once, and if we’re not careful, we will get burnt out very quickly. I almost got burnt out this week. But I did something my body was screaming at me to do; I got away from the f*cking phones, computers, and obligations and took a nap.
My body thanked me, hugged me, and praised me. I felt restored and recentered.
The more we listen to our bodies, the more we can experience a more honest, intimate, healthy, and transparent relationship with ourselves. If we don’t take care of ourselves, who will? We can’t rely on others to interpret our needs.
Burnout can be avoided if we listen to our bodies. Maybe we need to say no to someone today, work out earlier in the day, decline a meeting, take a break from technology, or go to bed earlier. Listen to your body to determine what you need to do to experience a life that is not overwhelming and is positively beneficial to your mental health.
