Bold education helps decrease the instances, though
The foundation of racism and prejudice is ignorance. You could also say a superiority complex, but anyone with this mentality is ignorant. We live in abundance; if you believe someone else must have less, so you can have more, this is limited thinking.
A phrase that people might not consider to be sensitive and racist is the term “low-hanging fruit.”
The primary people I’ve heard use it are white men. But if you happen to hear people use it, and an opportunity presents itself, briefly educate them on the phrase, and maybe they will rethink using it.
Education helps eradicate racism.
