A Sister Is A Friend You Can’t Get Rid Of
Your words hold me like my baby blanket
I’ve always been 100% protected in you
We hold each other together
Like gorilla glue
Though I’ll never be with you
You’re my soulmate
Because you are the air above the ocean
When I’m drowning
I come up to you for air and breathe
Things won’t always be the same
But my feelings will never change
Because I won’t let go
I can’t let go
Because you are embedded into my soul
You are my light
You are my life
You are the sharpness
To my knife
You are the color
To my black and white
You are the stars surrounding my moon
You are the magic
That can fill my spirit with energy
To the brim at noon
I’ll hold on
I’ll never let go
I’ll always believe in us
I’ll always find a way to heal your soul
I’ll always find a way to eliminate your turmoil
I can’t lose you
Life wouldn’t be the same
Everything I do would be in vain
You’re the life in my life
If you go, there goes my light
With nothing in sight
I’ll float away
Because to me, you’re more than words can say
When I’m thirsty, you give me electrolytes
When I’m depressed, you give me dynamite
When I’m confused, you give me concise
When I’m lost, you give me your light
When I’m angry, you give me what’s right
You’re the medicine for my pain
You’re the compass when I’m going insane
You’re the fuel during this life of vain
You’re my reason; I could never be Cain
You know it all; you keep me in my lane
We can never be broken
Because a sister is a friend you can’t get rid of
A sister is someone whom you give unconditional love
No matter what
