Notice how much wealth you build once you habitually ask these questions
Before you make your next purchase ask yourself the following four questions;
Do I love it?
Do I need it?
Do I like it?
Do I want it?
Tiffany Aliche mentioned these four questions in the Get Smart With Money Documentary On Netflix. Focus on loves and needs (long-term satisfaction) and less on likes and wants (short-term satisfaction).
Not only do these questions come in handy for the holidays, but if you’re like many people, you might be a spontaneous shopper (*cough cough* AMAZON or adding that random “must-have” to your basket at Target). Emotional shopping is an epidemic.
SLOW DOWN BEFORE YOUR NEXT PURCHASE.
I like to apply the 3-7 day waiting rule. Before making unplanned small and large purchases, I wait at least 3-7 days before making the purchase, which often turns into years, and I never make the purchase because I didn’t desire it that bad in the first place.
