If it’s not exhaustion that kills your dreams – it’s apathy.
Sometimes the hardest days aren’t the ones that are the most taxing and mentally, emotionally, and physically draining.
Sometimes the hardest days are the apathetic ones.
The days where you’re bored.
The days you lack total interest.
The days your goals don’t feel inspiring.
The days where you don’t feel any motivation for your why.
These can be the most dangerous days – because you don’t feel like putting in the work. These days are detractors if you choose not to push through and resolve to move forward one step at a time anyway.
Life doesn’t have sympathy for you and your goals.
You either attack them, or you fail to reach them.
Good days, bad days, neutral days, no-energy days, moody days, stressful days…what are you willing to give for your goals? If you can’t keep going when it’s not convenient, do you really expect to win?
Fear < Laziness < Motivation < Discipline < Obsession
Which mode are you operating in when it comes to your goals? Whichever one you choose will paint the picture of where you’ll be in 5, 10, 15, 20+ years.
Your actions – what are they? What are you doing day in and day out? Where are your actions leading you?
Answer these questions truthfully.
Look in the mirror and ask yourself: Is what I’m doing enough? Is what I’m doing going to get me to where I want to be? Is what I’m doing in alignment with who I envision myself as? Do my habits reflect that of a winner, or someone who is going to inevitably lose at the pursuit of their dreams?
