How often do you lose your train of thought in the middle of a conversation because you were thinking about what you said or something entirely off subject?
I know it has happened to me-more than once.
An effective communication strategy that takes almost zero effort is to stay present while the other conversation participant(s) speak. And while you listen, don’t prepare your response. Only listen. When the time comes for you to speak, you will automatically sound more intelligent, natural, and thoughtful.
