Four coping mechanisms to tackle negative circumstances
Focus On Gratitude
Instead of focusing on the negative and investing more negative energy into the reality, you don’t desire, focus on gratitude and your energy on your ideal intentions.
What and who all is in your life can you express gratitude for right now?
I can think of a million things off the tip of my tongue. Once you get going, it’s hard to stop because you realize that there is so much more positive occurring in your life than you probably realized when you were focused on everything that isn’t right in your life.
When we focus on gratitude and focus on feeling positive emotions, we attract more positivity into our lives and circumstances that will produce more reasons to feel grateful.
Meditation
I used to downplay meditation because I didn’t realize how powerful an impact it can have on your psyche.
Take time to be still, focus on positive intentions, quiet your mind, and control your body.
Meditation is a healing practice that will heal your mind, body, spirit, and soul and help you overcome any negative energy and circumstances that you are dealing with daily.
Help Others
Whatever you’re learning, whatever your gifts and skill sets are, find a way to share them with others. The more we give, the more we live. When you’re stuck in a self-imposed prison (aka a negative slump or negative psyche), find a way to help yourself escape from it and help someone else.
When you help someone else, you are physically removing yourself from your mental prison and creating an opportunity for the universe to reciprocate your generosity to you in beauty and unexpected ways.
We Are In Self-Imposed Mental Prisons
It can be difficult to remove ourselves from negative slumps. In fact, it can seem an unconquerable challenge because we have placed ourselves in the prison of our minds.
The only way to escape is to force your way out; a door is in the corner of the prison you’ve created. It’s probably hidden and hard to find because you’ve been so focused on the unfavorable circumstances, but once you seek out the escape door, you will find it easily.
Our unfavorable circumstances don’t have to become our reality; they are merely passing by. Don’t over-attach yourselves to negative energy and circumstances. Learn to release the negativity from your life so you experience harmony, happiness, wholeness, perfection, power, strength, and love.
