Why do we settle for unhappiness for years on end? What are we getting out of it aside from misery, stress, anxiety, bitterness, mental and physical burdens, and health issues?
Someone told me they worked at a company for 7+ years, and I congratulated them, thinking they must’ve really enjoyed their job to stay that long. Interestingly enough, the person hated their job since the day they started it. They finally took the time to apply for another role 7 years later, but look at all of that wasted time. You don’t have to keep waiting for the perfect moment to leave happiness behind. You have permission to walk away today.
