What are you doing with your time?
Earlier this year, I published the following piece, How I Manage 3 Jobs, 3 Pseudonyms, 7 Dogs, A High Publishing Rate, and Above Average Fitness Levels.
Through the years, I’ve had many people approach me about how I do it, but I don’t know what else to say except, “I just do it.”
I’ve always been doing it. I dropped out of public school, so I could do homeschool and alternative school to have more time because school took up too much of my time.
When I was attending college to earn triple degrees, there were many semesters I took 17–22 hours on top of working, tutoring, teaching music, traveling, and functioning as music director for a religious organization.
People seem to forget that there are 24 hours seven days a week, which means there are 168 hours every week.
If you only sleep 8 hours a day, that’s 128 hours left for you to do as you please. If you need less sleep, say 7 hours a day, that leaves 133 hours.
The real question is, how do people manage to do only one thing when they have so much extra time on their hands?
How Do You Stay In Shape?
I have a similar thought process when people ask me how I stay in shape.
Here’s how you stay in shape:
If you work out and eat well, you will stay physically fit.
If you don’t work out and eat poorly, you will not stay physically fit.
There’s no magic potion.
There’s no difference between myself and anyone else. We all receive the same amount of time each and every day.
How Do You Write So Much Content?
Whatever you spend time on will reap results.
What is your goal? Spending an hour or more daily on that goal will naturally bring progress over time. The progress might not appear immediately. Some days, you won’t notice much, but over extended periods, it’s impossible for you not to reap a hearty reward.
Consistency is king with everything. Whatever you are consistent with is creating your reality.
My Question To The Average Person: How Do You Watch So Much TV?
The average American spends a minimum of three hours a day watching tv.
That’s the minimum, which means most people are watching more.
Imagine what you could do with three hours each day if that time were invested in a goal, your dream, and your vision for your life.
Take a minute to imagine.
Our Potential Is Limitless
We all have the ability to accomplish a great deal, but this will never happen for many because we are too comfortable with the status quo. We are too comfortable with living with average results. It’s easy to do this, though.
Most of us value pseudo-comfort over temporary discomfort to experience genuine comfort.
