They’re only preventing you from reaching your potential
Many people never adopt new methodologies for living life because they are too set in their ways and can’t imagine doing anything different. They are addicted to the mediocre and unfavorable outcomes they continually receive.
Some of the excuses you might have mentioned in your life at some point might include one or more of the following:
“I was born this way.”
“I never learned anything different.”
“My childhood was too traumatic.”
“I’ve made too many mistakes to make something of myself.”
“I can’t recover from the choices I’ve made.”
“My parents set a terrible example.”
“I can’t ever make that amount of money.”
“I don’t have enough experience.”
“Everyone keeps telling me ‘no.'”
“There are not enough jobs to go around.”
“I can’t switch careers or start a new one. I’m too old!”
“I don’t know what else to do at this point. I’ve run out of ideas.”
“Life is full of losers. Only a few people can win.”
“Nobody loves me.”
“I can’t afford that.”
“It’s over for me. This is it.”
“My ideal person doesn’t exist.”
“Everyone else does it.”
“This is how life works.”
“I wasn’t born into a successful background or family.”
“I’m not smart enough.”
“People are always leaving me.”
“I don’t have anyone to help me.”
I call BULLSHIT.
These are all excuses to justify staying the same instead of implementing actions that can elevate your present life and future.
What excuses have you been consistently telling yourself or believing (subconsciously telling yourself), limiting your opportunity for more positive outcomes?
Three Steps To Success
The first thing you must do to live a successful life is to believe that you can.
The second thing you must do is believe that you deserve to experience a successful life. Low self-worth is one of the most significant barriers to your success.
The third thing you must do to experience a successful life is execute, and when I say execute, you must execute ardently and consistently.
The more consistent you are with your execution, the more in tune you will be with the results you receive.
You will quickly learn whether you need to pivot to produce a different result. You can’t know how to pivot without consistently executing your goals.
What areas of your life are you making excuses? This shows you where you need to implement changes. But there might be other areas of your life where you don’t even give excuses anymore because you’ve given up completely. Revisit your dead dreams.
Can you breathe life back into them? If not, why? If so, how can you start to breathe life into these goals?
Sometimes we make excuses in one area of our lives to prevent us from looking at other areas of our lives.
Excuses are frequently related or have hidden meanings that we should analyze and extract meaning.
