You Either Want Wealth, Or You Don’t
You can’t build with shitty financial habits.
Not many people want to face the truth and recognize that they will likely not build wealth, financial independence, and freedom until they transform their financial habits.
And it’s the small habits that count the most.
That daily eating out, the morning coffees, the random amazon shopping, the 10th master’s degree, the latest fashion spree, and the non-stop travel you can’t afford right now all create a rift between you and your financial goals.
The only way you will ever be able to build wealth is by shifting your habits and changing your daily behaviors regarding money.
Most people are financially illiterate because money is something you have to learn on your own time and dime. It’s not taught in most schools and certainly not likely taught at the dinner table as my family did.
I could not have landed where I am financially today if I had mirrored the financial behaviors of those around me.
Because most people around me have been broke. And even if they earn good money, they have not learned how to master it; it, unfortunately, continues to master them.
Building wealth is not the sexiest process. It takes time to build wealth over time. It takes consistent focus and self-discipline if you earn an average salary. But it’s doable for anyone that earns money.
Money is a tool, and if you learn to utilize the tool correctly to build wealth, you most certainly will.
Everyone has a choice to be wealthy. Naturally, some people will always be wealthier than others because of their heritage, profession, luck, etc. But no one is incapable of building wealth as long as they do five things:
Five Things You Can Do Today To Build Wealth
Spend less than you earn.
Maintain an extremely low expenses ratio.
Consistently increase your income every year.
Consistently invest a large portion of your income.
Consistently educate yourself about personal finance to keep up with new trends, ideas, and applicable knowledge.
How many of these five things are you consistently integrating into your daily habits? The sooner you get started, the sooner you can shift your financial situation.
Building wealth is not rocket science. There are everyday millionaires who did the following things listed above and created financial freedom for themselves and their families. They made a choice everyday to create a financial situation most people will never experience during their lifetimes.
