Getting comfortable with phenomena
“I would love to live right here by the airport, so I can watch the planes take off daily.”
Now, this statement from my friend is bizarre since quiet surroundings are invaluable to me. And at the time, airplanes taking off was a boring occurrence for me.
Yet, airplanes taking off into the sky like a bird is indeed fascinating. I simply forgot because I became familiar with the phenomenon. How can such a heavy piece of machinery soar like that?
We miss many phenomena throughout our lives every day because we become familiar with them. Start noticing the extraordinary that surrounds you; it’s always present.
