Life is your content generator
Remember, as a writer: life is content.
Nothing is off limits (unless you make it off limits).
All of your experiences and the experiences you witness can spark inspiration for new content to share with others. Keep people anonymous (of course) if they don’t want you putting their names all over your writing, but other people’s experiences are another content generator that we underestimate. I’ve learned some of my most invaluable lessons from other people. Why would I keep the information to myself when someone else can learn from it? That’s selfish!
I read an article today that said the average blogger spends one or more hours writing one blog post. Sometimes a writer will take up to six hours on one blog post or day. It probably takes this long because writers tend to block their minds, which ultimately heckles their flow.
Let the words flow, even when you think they can’t flow. Then watch yourself and the ideas from your mind flow.
Writer’s block doesn’t exist. It only exists because we allow it to do so. As you’re going about your day, write down all the odd and ordinary ideas that come to mind. Then, when you sit down to write, explore every idea. Every idea is worth a shot, and I guarantee at least one person out of the billions of people on earth will appreciate that you sat your a** down and clicked publish.
