We continue to assume our time is unlimited
Many people thought they would wake up today, but they didn’t. I wonder what they would have done differently if they knew today was their last day.
What would you do differently if you knew today was your last day? How different might your behavior and attitude change if you knew today was it for you?
Whether you are young or old means nothing in this day and age. I’ve seen too many people with so much life to live head out early because their time came. It didn’t make sense; they weren’t old, and they weren’t unhealthy, but life had different plans for them.
Death is inevitable. Our clocks start ticking as soon as we are conceived in the womb. And nobody knows when their time will come, so we have to make every second count.
If we don’t, we will go to our graves with so much unfinished business. A loved one, full of life, headed to their grave much earlier than expected. I remember one thing they always mentioned, “One day I want to go to Paris,” and they never did.
Why did they continue waiting? They had the resources to go. Nothing was holding them back. The trip was inexpensive. But it didn’t happen for them.
Many of you have a clear purpose that could impact millions or billions of people across the globe, but you’re too scared to invest your all because you fear failure or don’t think you’re good enough.
I decided I couldn’t continue living in fear; if my purpose is to write and share content with others, I must proceed. It doesn’t matter how others perceive it; as long as my words land with the right people, then I am serving my purpose.
How many of you continue to delay your purpose, thinking you have all the time in the world? Because you don’t. Those who live to 110 still die, and many live unproductively, with infinite potential left to explore.
When are you going to start living more intentionally? We’re all aging, but what we do with our years is entirely up to us. We don’t have to squander our time on this earth. We can use it to make an impact, live more intentionally, and experience lasting fulfillment.
Key Message: We take life for granted too often. The truth is, we don’t know how many days we will get on this planet. No matter how healthy or unhealthy we are, no matter how joyous or depressed we feel about life, no matter how much promise our futures hold, we don’t know when the clock will start ticking for us. Live intentionally.
