I’ve encountered many people who fake experience to get a job.
Not only do they frequently stumble in the interview process because they don’t remember all the made-up details, but they don’t take the time to study the role to excel in the interview.

One person told me he wanted to break into a scrum master role and earn 200k but didn’t even know the essential agile/scrum ceremonies that every scrum master show knows.
Before you set expectations on earnings and the role you desire, learn about the role so you can excel in the interview and on the job!
Remember, much of your experience is transferrable, which means your experience can be leveraged. You don’t have to make up the experience.
If you lack experience from past roles, complete a quick, professional program or a relevant personal project to gain the right experience.
There is always a way to break into a tech role.
