The key to building wealth
Do you feel this ^^ way?
If you observe society, money motivates people more than experiences, relationships, and intentional living.
How much money you have in your bank account matters more than the quality of your relationships.
To what end, though?
You finally earn that million dollars.
Now what?
Do you go for the second million, ten million, a hundred million, or aim for billionaire status?
Culture says to keep aiming for more because why not earn more?
Though your income should continuously increase to outpace inflation and be an equitable measurement based on the level of service and impact you’re offering the world, there is a fine line between this and greed.
Ask Yourself The Thoughtful Questions To Maintain Awareness
What do I gain from earning x dollar amount?
What do I intend to do with x dollar amount?
What do I need to live the way I desire?
Is the way I desire to live aligned with my or society’s values?
What will I have to sacrifice in return for earning this dollar amount?
Every goal requires sacrifice…
For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 8:34 – 38
On your journey to building wealth, what have you already sacrificed?
Some of you have sacrificed your relationships, quality of health, time, mental and emotional well-being, and identity.
As You Continue Smashing Financial Goals…
Keep asking yourself thoughtful questions, dissecting your goals, and staying aware of what your goals are costing you.
Most of us don’t need to earn tens of millions of dollars to live successfully and comfortably.
Most of us don’t need cars that cost more than 100k.
Most of us don’t need houses with extra bedrooms and bathrooms because we will never use them.
Most of us need very little.
It’s the desires that take us off track.
The Key To Building Wealth Intentionally
Minimalism is the key to building wealth intentionally. If you stay in tune with who you are and your needs, your wants will never go unchecked.
I constantly assess my financial goals and ask myself, is this more than enough, does this align with my needs, do I really need that, do I really want that, why do I want this, and what will I need to give in return?
These questions keep me grounded and in control.
Because if you’re not careful, money will dictate your life; it’s an addiction for many. People are always trying to get it one way or another, and we’re seeing this play out daily in a multitude of ways.
