My peace of mind is more important than quality time
It’s one of the reasons I don’t watch videos from certain people because there is a high chance the video will have a negative tone, which I don’t desire to impress upon my mind.
People frequently ask me, “Did you watch the video?” or “Did you listen to my message?”
And my response will be an honest “no.”
In a society flooded with pessimism and negativity, you must work extra hard to shield your mind and thoughts from it.
I will disregard it if a person is negative or habitually sends negative videos or long negative messages.
Here are a few things I do to prevent myself from being infected with negativity:
Avoid reading negative articles.
Avoid mindlessly scrolling social media.
Avoid following people on social media to avoid seeing their posts.
Avoid watching videos from people who have pessimistic attitudes.
Even the most well-intentioned people can be harmful or send videos with “well-intentioned” content masked with negativity.
Be more aware and picky about the content you allow yourself to intake.
People may not like you for it, but it creates a happier life.
I stopped watching movies with a close friend because all the stuff they watched was negative, depressing, traumatic, and disconcerting.
No thanks.
My peace of mind is more important than quality time.
