Apparently, they do
Often times the gambling problem stems from a lack of education and impoverished conditions.
I published the article “Kevin Hart’s A Multimillionaire That Plays Draft Kings? Probably Not.” because Draft Kings depicted Kevin Hart to be a user of the app.
Maybe he is. Maybe he isn’t. But he’s also a multimillionaire with enough money to throw away without significant repercussions.
On the other hand, the common person has the following financial situation:
They are in debt.
They are financially illiterate.
They don’t regularly utilize a budget or have one in place.
They don’t have additional funds to throw away on gambling.
They are off track with their savings, investments, and retirement accounts.
What is gambling essentially?
Putting your financial future in someone else’s hands.
As a gambler, you don’t control the odds or the outcomes. The house always wins >99% of the time.
However, when you educate yourself and prudently invest your money in stocks (for example), you take direct control of your finances, improve your odds of a positive financial outcome, and create financial freedom for yourself.
Gambling is a hopeless game; you usually only win after you’ve given significant amounts of your money away.
What you should do with your money instead?
If you have the urge to gamble and you’re reading this article, you’re already no the right track. I encourage you to continually tap into other financial resources to transform your financial situation.
