It’s what happens in these moments that count double time
Most of us know the difference between right and wrong. We don’t become different people in moments of insanity; we are still the same person. However, during moments of insanity, we become attached to the destructive emotions we’re experiencing-so attached that we forget to remain objective about our feelings. We must observe our feelings; we do not need to identify with them.
Moments of insanity are all about choices. What choice will we make in the critical moment? Will the choice lead to a parking ticket, a DUI, or a vehicular homicide? Every choice has a consequence, and every consequence has a price. The best choices are the ones that don’t have an expensive price tag (e.g., vehicular homicide); the ones that are easiest to bounce back from (i.e., parking ticket).
Do not forget your teachings, wisdom, and insight in moments of insanity. Flee if necessary to save yourself from destroying yourself and the ones you love.
