Less salt, more support
Whole work meetings have been allocated to conversations about Rihanna’s Super Bowl performance.
Like damn.
Many people have made a statement that her performance has been overwhelmingly underwhelming.
Yet, the same people saying these words watched the whole damn show. Yes, I’m talking to you, too, Donald Trump.
So obviously, it was interesting enough to continue watching, or else you wouldn’t have mentioned it in the first place.
Let’s Be Slower To Criticize, Shall We?
Obviously, She’s Pregnant
I’ve never been pregnant, so I don’t know how it feels to perform on a stage at such a high energy level and hold a decent note.
But Rihanna did it.
We all know she can perform because she has in the past, but that doesn’t even matter.
She held people’s attention without showing her skin and without twerking. She did great for me. I think it’s simply an incredible delight to see her perform again.
Isn’t that enough?
No New Music
People are begging for new music.
But who knows when that will happen on Rihanna’s end.
Maybe Rihanna will finally put some new music out. But I pray she doesn’t if that’s not what she desires to do.
She may want to focus on fashion and makeup, her biggest passions lately.
If you were prioritizing other business ventures or lost your love for creating something like music, wouldn’t you find it annoying if people kept telling you to create music?
When music is in Rihanna’s cards, I’m sure she will produce.
In the meantime, how about we focus on making progress on our own goals so we aren’t wasting time talking about how other successful people need to produce more for us to consume?
Because that’s pathetic.
No Outfit Changes
Really people? Are we really getting upset over a lack of outfit changes?
People are more focused on what others are doing than what they do with their own lives.
I get it, we live in a social media, Keeping Up With The Kardashian-type culture, and many people are interested in what others do with their lives, but this is also why most people live mediocre and average lives.
They never take any action that makes people want to talk about them because they aren’t doing sh*t with their own lives.
Look At What Rihanna Has Done
I do not know Rihanna personally, and I don’t have a lot of personal favorite celebrities, but Rihanna falls into that small group because she is simply inspiring.
Not only has she launched successful brands, but her brands included everyone from the get-go. Her brands are unique, intentional, and inclusive of all body types.
She started with music, and now she is a business mogul, but with all the sass – while now also a new mama.
What else has she done?
Inspired more women, men, and others to feel and live more confidently, create businesses, and never stop reaching elevated heights.
Furthermore, she has created jobs to help financially empower those who seize the opportunity.
It makes more sense to celebrate than criticize her, but that’s my opinion.
And I loved her performance. Not everything has to be over-the-top 100% of the time.
The world is so addicted to dopamine hits that anything less than super different, over-the-top, and out of the norm is deemed underwhelming.
I would love to see some people talking sh*t about her doing what she did on that stage without a baby.
